Tonight my niece is graduating from Elementary School!!!!! It's so hard to believe that she is going to be in middle school this coming fall. She is such a smart girl, a great friend to everyone, and is so good at every sport possible. She is such a crack up to be around, and I absolutely adore her!

Caution: Calm Winds

For the past month we have had crazy winds here in Rexburg. We are currently in the middle of a wind storm that is having 40 mph gusts. Imagine working the Drive Thru at G's Dairy during one of those gusts of wind! Not good... flying money, scoops all over the driveway.. lost work hats. haha its pretty crazy. I have the Weather Channel application for my phone, and every hour or so it beeps to tell me we are under a severe wind advisery. I wish I could get notices when it is finally calm! They sure would be a lot less beeping coming from my phone! The crazy wind is normal now, and I get excited for calm days!!

Oh and.. we live right next to a construction site that has tons of dirt, so during these wind storms my car looks like it went off roading or something fun!!! Little do people know it was just sitting in the parking lot.

My birthday was FABULOUS! Jeff surprised me with this way cute Dooney and Bourke purse! I was so surprised. He knew I wanted a new purse but I didnt think he'd pick one out and buy it!! Thanks Jeff!

We went to Idaho Falls on my birthday and spent the majority of my birthday money from family! We also ate a Johnny Carino's which is always amazing!!! and even better, I got the day off of work!! It was lots of fun to celebrate my birthday with Hubs. He made me feel like a princess, and I was most definitly spoiled!

Thanks mom for feeling the need to get preggos with me (and If I was an accident just dont tell me!!) haha. Thanks to my parents for raising me to be pretty fab, I must say. It was a great birthday and I cant wait till Jeff's birthday to spoil him back.

Depression

Depression is the number one disease at BYU-Idaho.

Why is that?

Is it because we are constantly reminded that we need to be better?

The intense pushing and pushing to be married?

The lack of employment opportunities in Rexburg?

The track system which means our close friends might move every semester?

The lack of individuality for fear of being judged?

If your struggling with depression your not alone. It is OKAY to go get on medications. I have been criticized over and over for being on medication for my anxiety and depression. But Heavenly Father put doctors and therapists on the earth for a reason. Some might be having the blues, but others might simply have a chemical imbalance in their body that needs to be evened out. You can get through it, but not alone. Not without Christ and fully understanding his atonement.

Because of that I have overcome so much. I have been able to get on with my life, without being ashamed that I have struggled with this terrible disease.

I am happy.

"Healing the Sick"

I can not begin to express how strong my testimony is for priesthood blessings. Jeff sure has gotten lots of practice these past two years. Since I was sick for about 4 months, I often times woke up Jeff in the middle of the night for a blessing. He was always willing to, and every time told me thanks for asking him for a blessing. It not only strengthens my testimony by receiving one, but his from giving it. I remember the first time I understood my testimony of priesthood blessings was Dec 6, 2007. I called my brother at 3 a.m telling him I needed to go to the ER That I couldnt get out of bed. I was terrified it was my appendix. The first thing I did when I was in pain was call my brother for a blessing. When normally I would have tried to sleep it out or take medicine. I'm so grateful for my brother who came over so give me a blessing and take me to the ER. Two years ago to the date I woke up and asked Jeff for a blessing before my surgery. I was not one bit scared for my surgery cause I knew I had asked the Lord for comfort. Today when I was at work I was reading talks from General Conference on my phone. (drooooooiiid). Here is my fav. part. (it was from priesthood sesh, so I encourage all women to go read it, if you haven't yet).

As children of God, knowing of His great love and His ultimate knowledge of what is best for our eternal welfare, we trust in Him. The first principle of the gospel is faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and faith means trust. I felt that trust in a talk my cousin gave at the funeral of a teenage girl who had died of a serious illness. He spoke these words, which first astonished me and then edified me: “I know it was the will of the Lord that she die. She had good medical care. She was given priesthood blessings. Her name was on the prayer roll in the temple. She was the subject of hundreds of prayers for her restoration to health. And I know that there is enough faith in this family that she would have been healed unless it was the will of the Lord to take her home at this time.” I felt that same trust in the words of the father of another choice girl whose life was taken by cancer in her teen years. He declared, “Our family’s faith is in Jesus Christ and is not dependent on outcomes.” Those teachings ring true to me. We do all that we can for the healing of a loved one, and then we trust in the Lord for the outcome.

I got this idea through another blog that for 5 minutes you write whatever is on your mind. so here it goes.

Why is Jake from the bachelor on dancing with the stars? He's so annoying, and so is vienna. okay I had work today. not that fun. There has been so much drama at work that I was literally sick to my stomach before going. I hate drama and having anxiety over it. Jeff and I have been talking a lot about my anxiety, and we have realized a lot. We realized that I do NOT like having authority figures above me. Its not that I dont like being told what to do, but its the fact of someone being over me. Its one of those things I hate to admit, but its true. So when other people control me I have to make sure I have control over myself. Its weird and really bad for me but its something I'm dealing with. Anyone else with me? I put in an order at Scentsy today through my friend Joanna in my ward. I am so excited I hope it comes soon I love new scents and I got a new warmer for my bathroom. I really dont know what I want for my birthday. I know I want a swimsuit from Lime Ricki, and I'm thinking maybe a new pair of sunglasses? Its funny how you quit being selfish when you grow up and all you ask for is money to pay rent.

I am seriously so tired from being at work from 8:30-5:45. Dancing with the stars just started so Im gonna watch that and eat sour straws. I didnt eat anything today till 3:45 and I wasnt even hungry all morning. Usually I eat all day when I work the day shift. I wish my hair would grow faster, I'm so sick of it short. geee I need to go run but ide rather be lazy.

Has anyone else read this book? It is called Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli. It is absolutely hilarious. I love it and the meaning behind it. I highly recommend it to everyone. Its a quick read. took me a few hours.

I have also been running alot. I am about to hit my new years resolution of running for 30 minutes. I'm at 27. I love running and I'm so glad Ive gotten into it. I can now run for 2 miles without stopping!! It is becoming addicting but I love how accomplished I feel after. These are my shoes, the Nike Lunarglide +. They are amazing and I wouldnt be running if it wasnt for them. I'm still working at G's Dairy. Jeff is in his last semester. He has had a few job prospects and there is one in particular that we are crossing our fingers for!! So please please please keep us in your prayers!!!

The past few months I have had an annoying pain in my right ear. Its not excrutiating it is just annoying. Anyways, Ive tried decongestants and that didn't work. I have gotten so used to it that I barely think about it anymore. On Monday I was in the doctor for a refill and I asked him about my ears. He looked in them and said that my tubes were enlarged and laying at an angle so they can not drain. What the heck? How did this happen you might ask? Well we have no idea. I didnt grow up with a lot of ear infections so it just boggles me. Anyways, since its not a terrible pain I am supposed to take ibuprofen to get the swelling down, so they can drain. but then a week or so later they will be enlarged again. So its a never ending process. He said that my tonsils are larger than normal (but not infected or anything) so they are pressing against my adnoids which are hitting my ears which are causing them to be swollen. WEIRD. So eventually I might have to get my adnoids and tonsils out.

All too confusing for me.

But at least I have answers:)

Today is our two year anniversary!!! I cant believe it! Okay I can. It hasnt gone by super fast or super slow, so it seems just about right. I have learned and grown so much these past two years. I am so lucky to have married someone like Jeff. When I met Jeff I was already dating someone else, and had plans to go on a mission the next year, but then I realized there was no way I could not call him and see what would happen. I texted him a few weeks after we met, when he was in Oregon, and asked him if I could call him. We ended up talking for hours, and were inseperable after that.

Here are some cliche reasons why I love Jeff.

He gets along great with my family.

He can always joke with me.

He is so patient with me.

He compliments my food even if I know its gross.

He likes to spoil me.

He motivates me to get more education.

He cleans the house a lot.

He honors his priesthood.

He is just so sweet to me.

I could go on forever but that would bore you to death.

Jeff thank you for being such a good husband and best friend. You have worked so hard in school and I'm so proud of you for graduating in a few months. I could not have married anyone better. You are so patient and loving with me. You are such a blessing.

This past weekend Jeff and I went to utah for a day. We met my family in Park City for a nice Easter Brunch, and then headed to Provo to hang out and sleep for the night. When we were hanging out in my parents hotel, my amazing SIL Leandra popped out Bananagrams (and chocolate candy!!) from her bag. Let me just say... This game is so fun! I have pretty much downloaded every word search type game on my phone, and I never get sick of them. We went to Walmart and they didnt have it, but Deseret Book did. I'm not sure where else they carry it. oh Barnes and Noble does too. If you in Rexburg dont look at Deseret Book right away cause we bought the last one! Its sooooo fun go get it now! I even got Jeff to play with me!!

Walk MS

My sister is doing a walk next month for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Our mom was diagnosed with MS in the spring of 2008 and has been doing considerably well. She doesnt let it get in her way of doing all of the things she loves to do (like spoiling her kids and grandkids, traveling to Italy, and so forth)

We are asking for help donating money to go towards finding a cure. Every little bit helps!!!!!

Scars

The past couple of weeks I have been debating whether or not to get scar cream and try to get rid of my four scars from my surgery. However, I could never get my self to commit to getting rid of my scars. And this is the reason.

For five plus years I have been sick and sick and more sick. I struggled with my testimony. "Why me?" was a common phrase in my head most days. Why was I the one that was sick every day? Why was I not able to live a normal life cause I was scared a bathroom wasn't close enough incase I was sick. Then I learned to rely on priesthood blessings. I learned that my heavenly father loves me and wants me to grow from this. He knows my testimony is broken and that I need to learn for myself that I am given trials to grow and know my strengths rather than look at is as a weakness. I learned that He does know me, and he wasnt kidding in my patriarchal blessing when he said I will endure great sickness is my life.

I will keep my scars. I will look at them grow when I am pregnant. And each day I will remember that immense darkness I was dealing with in my life. I will look at them and think, I prevailed. I came out on top. I am proud of my scars, and hope they never go away.

Okay that was easy. The one on the apartment door, not the cute spacious house door! hehe. It was really hard to make it go around even cause my wreath foam wasnt a circle all the way around, it was sliced in half so the back was flat which made it hard. but I still love it!

Now that St. Patricks day is over, I have a new wreath that will be done tommorrow!

the temple

Two years ago this month I went to the temple for the first time. It was a month before our wedding and I was so excited but so nervous. The past two years Jeff and I have had the opportunity to attend the Rexburg temple as much as we can. It has been such a blessing to my life. It is amazing to leave all the worldly things aside and to just focus on the blessings of the temple. I am so grateful that I am endowed and can go to the temple to do a session or any other work whenever I'de like. I cant imagine not being able to see the Rexburg temple every day when I walk out of my apartment!

I am a teeny weeny bit OCD When it comes to planning my dream house. and today all I can think about is a craft room? Why am i thinking about this, you might think? cause my teeny weeny craft table is a peice of you know what. I have absolutely no room to do anything, which resorts in the kitchen table to be used for crafts, which means.. angry husband who has no room for anything. whooopss!! Here are some of my FAV!

SCROLL DOWN FOR JACKSON HOLE POST.

So, this is a really tough week for me. My best friend Sarah Martinsen is leaving on Wednesday for the MTC. She was called to serve in the Auckland, New Zealand mission. Sarah and I have been best friends since we met in our missionary book of mormon class last January. Little did she know she would really be going on a mission. I text her first thing when I wake up, every time I do something throughout the day, and right before I go to bed.

Here are some reasons why I love her.

I can tell her anything.

She doesn't judge anyone.

She helps out anyone.

She loves the gospel and makes it known.

She can make anyone laugh.

She sends me great recipes.

She texts me a picture every time she buys something new.

She prays for me when I need it, even when I dont ask.

She is honest with me when I need to hear it.

She pushes me to be better.

I am so excited for her and for the blessings she is going to receive while serving in new zealand. She is already in love with the country and the people and she is not even there yet.

Thanks sarah for showing me that you true friends DO exist. For teaching me that life isn't that bad, and for always making me laugh. I love you and can't wait to write you!

Here are some pictures from Jackson. The highlight of our trip was going to the National Elk Reserve. This year 5500 Elk migrated to this reserve for the winter. They are not contained at all and are free to come and go. A lot of people think that them being here is not their real habitat. But it is!! We saw about 3 thousand elk within half a mile. They were everywhere! They also get a ton other kinds of animals. lots of buffalo, wolves, a few bears. Last year he said they had a mountain lion on the reserve. The reserve is 2500 acres. It was huge. You can take a road right through the middle of it. We drove it this morning and saw a lot of goats. We were hoping to see the mountain sheep though! It was such a fun trip and I want to go back tomorrow!

this guy lost one of his antlers that morning. The guide said this was the longest he had seen an elk keep his other one on for. He said they normally fall off within an hour of eachother. at this point it had been almost 8 hours.

I am so proud of myself! For the last few weeks Ive been really thinking about how Jeff and I are not prepared at all. If something were to happen and we had 2 minutes to get out of our apartment and go, I would be lost and confused. haha. So, today I ventured to the dollar store and Kmart and got items for our 72 hour kits! I got a GREAT list off of preparedldsfamily.blogspot.com. I highly reccomend checking out that blog. She has tons of great lists and ideas. I made one for me, and one for jeff. The only difference is mine has tampons and jeffs doesnt! haha! Anyways, it was fairly cheap. Only 35 dollars a person. And I got the duffel from Kmart on sale for 7 dollars! Its perfect!

Amazing Race!

One show that I have always loved watching is Amazing Race. I love watching people travel around the world and do lots of fun challenges. I also like the drama that takes place between the members of the same team. Another show I love is Big Brother. So when I found out that the winner from last season, Jordan, and her love interest on Big Brother, are going to be partners in Amazing Race season 16, I was THRILLED!

Okay these pictures are just not working out. I got a job! I work at the dairy store right across the street from us!! I work 5 nights a week! on fridays and saturdays I dont get home till midnight so it can get pretty exhausting! but the people I work with are really nice and I have a lot of fun!

Sorry I cant figure out how to get those pictures to go side by side! anyways, I just finished reading this series by Suzanne Collins, and I loved it. I cant wait for the third book to come out in August!!! I highly recommend it! (next to Fablehaven of course!!)

This is my niece Ashley. She's 11 and she is an amazing swimmer! She did so good that day. This is the first time I saw her in a year, and she has gotten to pretty!

Apparently I do not look like a 21 year old. Here are three things that happened to me within two days.

Jeff and I went to the temple. I was waiting on the bench in the womens locker room, and a young girl was just going through for the first time. Apparently the mom of the girl was supposed to be sitting on the bench as well. Anyways, a temple worker came up to me and said, "Are you the mother of the girl that is going through for the first time?"

Do I really look like I could have a 21 year old daughter???

the NEXT day I was at the Salt Lake Airport. Our flight was just getting ready to board, so it was pretty crowded by the gate. I was pretty far away from the southwest desk, but I was watching a lady talk to them about how she has an unaccompanied minor who is flying alone. The guy then pointed to me and said "is that your unaccompanied minor over there?"

Do I really look like I am under 12??

Later that day at the chicago airport, I was waiting at an empty gate cause I had a layover. Workers started showing up to work for an arriving flight and get the passengers off the plane. A woman came over to me and asked if my child was waiting to get off the plane, as they had record than an 8 year old girl was flying alone.

Do I look like I have an 8 year old daughter?

Jeff and I have always felt strongly that we want to adopt after we have our own children. I have always wanted to adopt a child or two, and when jeff and I met he told me how strongly he felt about adoption as well. crazy, huh? anyways. I wish we had the money right now to adopt, because I would most def. adopt a little haitian baby! It's kind of weird, huh? Since I've had so many problems getting pregnant, and staying pregnant, the thought can not seem to leave my mind. Maybe that is my true calling in life? to adopt? I have always felt like we would have a few of our own and then adopt, but maybe that is my only option?

Anyways, this is more of a rambling post, but having problems getting pregnant is NOT the end of the world!!!! I feel blessed more now than ever.

This Saturday I am going to my old stompin' grounds (St. Louis) to see these crazy folks of mine. Jeff has school, I have no job. Therefore, me=bored. I am terrified to fly alone. none the less spend hours in a random city for layovers with bad weather! eeerrrk! I am excited to sleep, eat, sleep, eat and shop!!! I'm going to miss the hubs though!!!!!

Thanks to my grand ole friend TaNelle, I got a library card today!!! anyways, I wanted to get the Hunger Games series, but they were all out, so I had to request it. Another lady in the library overheard us talking and recommended this series. I'm a few chapters into it, and like it so far!!!

Think Twice

I found out last night that a guy I new from the Singles Ward in STL committed suicide last year. I was pondering our friendship a lot last night. I was trying to date his roomate, and he liked me (i think? it was a long time ago). At first, I felt sorry for him, being away from family and stuff, so I invited him to my parents a few sundays that summer for Dinner with my family. I then found out he lied about a lot of things. He told me he was going to medical school, but then my dad caught him in a lie about it. I was really angry, why would he lie that much to me? Anyways, lets just say I was not the nicest person to him since them. When I found out he took his own life I was mad at myself. I've had two friends I know die in the last year. and they are both people that I gave up on. People I felt like were too big of a burden on my life and I didnt want to deal with them. Was there something I could have done to stop them from taking their lives? I know its not my fault, but I wish I was there. Having depression myself, I know how upsetting it is when people are rude and unkind to you. I wish I would have learned sooner.

My Resolutions

This morning I have been thinking about my new years resolutions. I did fairly good completing my resolutions for last year, so I am excited to come up with new ones.

I am...

-going to be FRUGAL! I am going to start clipping coupons and trying to save as much money as possible. (if you know of any good coupon sites for eastern idaho, let me know!!)
-I am going to graduate!!
-this one is from last year that I never completed, but I am going to revise it, I am going to be able to run 3 miles straight. no stopping. no time limit. I just have to keep running the whole time.
-pay off all of our credit cards.
-I am going to learn to be happy with myself. I have a habit of being really hard on myself. I will allow my self to fail sometimes and not kick myself in the butt. I am going to be happy with my appearance and not be a debbie downer!!
-have $___ amount in savings. ( I am not sharing this amount!!!)
-get 3 months of food storage saved up.

I also have more personal goals, and jeff and I have goals as a family. I am not sharing those as those are very sacred to us. I encourage all of you married people to make goals as a family and discuss them at FHE to see how you are doing! It made it so much easier to work on these things as a couple!

I hope you all have a wonderful 2010!! Make it a year to work on yourself financialy. There is not a better time to make sure you have enough food storage and money in savings.

Happy New Years!

We spent a few hours at Clint & TaNelle's and now we're at home spending the last hour of 2009 together.

We accomplished a lot in 2009, and I am proud of all Jeff has done this year! He has worked so hard in his schooling and his grades have been amazing!!!

I haven't had time to think of my 2010 resolutions so i'll write that tomorrow.

This is Jeff and I at the Gunter Christmas Eve Party that his parents put on every year.

We met a bunch of friends in Portland to eat at Changs Mongolian Grill. This is my great friend Stephanie. She is married to jeffs great friend Kritt!!! They live in Salt Lake but the guys grew up together.

Overall we had a GREAT Christmas. Thanks 2 Doug and Elaine for letting us stay with them, and for Doug and Angie for inviting us to spend Christmas with them! It was a great trip!!!

Greetings! It's time for our annual blogger Christmas card! This year has flown by so fast! Jeff has been working as the Marketing Intern at Madison Memorial Hospital here in Rexburg, Idaho. He is anxious to start his last two semesters of college in January. He will graduate in July with his Bachelors in Business, Minor in Web Design, and emphasis in Marketing. Morgan has been working towards her Bachelors in Human Resource Management, and will graduate from Columbia Southern University next August. Jeff has been busy playing on all sorts of soccer teams this year. Morgan has been keeping busy working on all sorts of crafts. Most recently Morgan underwent surgery to remove her gallbladder. She so excited to not be sick anymore. We are excited for what this next year brings to us. We are grateful that Jeff is almost done with school, and are excited to start to job hunt in the coming months. We are so excited for the Holiday season, and are so grateful to have the gospel in our lives. We have witnessed first hand the blessings that the gospel of Jesus Christ can bring to your lives. We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas, and enjoy the new year!

Surgery!

Well, yesterday went well! We got the hospital at 6. They got me all situated, told me my surgery was scheduled for 7:30, and that they would give me medicine at 7. So at 7 I got four different medicines through my IV. nausea medicine, pain medicine, and "i dont care whats going on" medicine, and a medicine to give me dry mouth. After she gave me the IVs, they got word they had an emergency appendix surgery, and moved me to 9 oclock. so now I was really tired, feelin good, and had a REALLY dry mouth. and I could not drink anything. anyways. I dont remember much from then on. They wheeled me into the surgery room, gave me some anethsesia, and then I woke up an hour or so later. The next few hours all I could talk about was how I missed Regis and Kelly. I was so mad. but apparently i was pretty obsessed with talking about it. Jeff keeps reminding me.

I felt good the rest of the time at the hospital, until I got home. My shoulder was in a TON of pain. They pumped co2 into my abdominal cavity to get to my gallbladder, and it goes to my belly, and shoulder. So I look about 5 months pregnant now too. The only pain I have now is my throat from the tube,and my abs. It feels like I did a million sit ups. Its fine when I lay down but If I have to move it hurts. Oh and i'm also having a hard time going pee. I guess thats part of the side effects from anesthetia. Other than that I'm doing awesome. Got gorgeous flowers from my mom and dad, my brothers and sisters, and my in laws. Our apartment is covered with flowers. I love it!!!!!!

Looks like I'll be in bed a lot longer than planned. According to other people that had surgery, I thought I would feel better a few days after. The rate I'm going looks like I'll be in bed for a few more days than planned! Oh well. I have a fabulous husband who does everything I need, and amazing friends to cheer me up (sarah brought me a milk shake, it was delish!!)!

Jeff and I went to Idaho Falls to get some last minute items before my surgery (mainly a new pillow. If I have to sleep on my back for weeks, the only way to do so is with a new pillow. I hate the one I have now, and I dont remember the last time I slept on my back)
Anyways, my last black cardigan "shrunk". When clothes no longer fit, I blame it on the dryer, not my eating habits. Anyways, I picked up an 8 dollar cardigan from Ross. I got home and tried it on. TRICKED ME! The buttons on the front were FAKE. It's a pullover sweater. What the? I was so confused. But I have to keep it. It's still darling. (has ruffles on it!) and it was only 8 bucks! Momma would be proud!

Time for surgery tomorrow is 6. Which means I get there at 6. do a preggo test so they know i'm not preggo, (apparently they didnt believe me when I told them). and I lay with a paper sheet over myself for an hour until its time. Should be in surgery by 7. out by 7:45. home by 2! Yippeeeee!

I'm not too nervous yet. but that will all change soon, I'm sure!

I'm so excited to get that dang gallbladder out of me.

Tuesday's The Day!

Well, my stomach pains have been getting significantly worse, so my doctor suggested a Hida Scan to check out my Gallbladder. I went in for that on Monday. Lets just say, it was the most painful thing I have ever experienced. they sat me on a bed/table thing under a big camera that was only about 2 inches above my abdomen. I had to lay really still for 60 minutes after the first IV. The camera looked at the radioactive stuff going through my liver and gallbladder and bile duct. Then at 60 minutes I was injected with Kinevac. Lets just say...NOT FUN. My gallbladder immedietly went into spasms. a fever spiked, I was sweating, nauseaus, and everything you DONT want to be when you have to be completely still under a camera. The pain lasted about 5 minutes and I had to sit under the thing for another 30 min. Then on wed. I get a call from my doctor saying he had the results. Normally, a gallbladder has a 35-75% ejection fraction (the rate at which it releases bile and other fun stuff into your system). Mine was at 6%. Which is why after I eat I have stomach aches cause the food just sits there for awhile. Anyways. They sent me to a surgeon today, and he highly recommended I get my gallbladder out next week. So, on Tuesday I will undergo my first surgery ever! I will be given not only my first scar ever, but my first FOUR scars. haha. Its a laproscopic surgery so I will have three tiny scars under my right rib cage. and one by my belly button. Its a 45 min. procedure at the hospital, and I will be able to go home as soon as I'm up and moving. (an hour or two later). I am so nervous for the anesthesa, but I'm so glad to not be in pain anymore!! I am still in pain from dinner I had an hour ago! no bueno.

please say ur prayers that I recover fast! I can't wait to be able to eat a meal without feeling sick!!

I'll prob be in bed for about 2 days recovering, but should be good to go after that! Its a really simple procedure, and Ive already talked to many people that have had it!

oh and go beavers.. I hope they win tonight.

Today I am thankful for the temple. Wait, did I do that last post? We just got back from the temple and I LoVe GoiNg!

I guess I'll throw something else in because I can't remember what I did yesterday.

I am also thankful for my mom and dad. If you know them, you know they are pretty awesome. My mom cracks me up every day with some random one liners. Like a few weeks ago she told me she was out looking for about a thousand pumpkins to put in her front lawn so it looked like a pumpkin patch. tacky? I think so.

Today I am thankful for all of those that have served for our country. I never knew my Grandpa Harris well bcuz he passed away when I was little, but I do know he was committed to serving for his country! Jeff's Grandpa Miller also served our country, and he has the best stories!!

I am so grateful for the few of my friends that I know that our serving our country as well. A kid from my high school is in Iraq right now, and I am so thankful!

I am thankful for all of those I don't know that have served and those who have died for our country. Because of them it is possible that I have the freedom I do.

I am also thankful for the girls in my ward. Tonight was Enrichment and we played Bonco! It was such a fun activity and I love seeing all those girls. I made a few new friends which is also good! They are all so carefree and fun that I want to be more like them everyday!!!

Leading up to thanksgiving I'de like to write a few things a day that I am thankful for.

I am thankful for the atonement of Jesus Christ. Not only for the forgiveness aspect of it, but for the other parts of it. I am so thankful that he has already experienced all of my burdens and heartache. I am thankful he knows what I go through when I have a really bad day.

I am thankful for the temple. I am thankful that I get to go back whenever I please and remember the covenants that I have made. The peace that I feel when I am in His house in unbelievable. I am grateful I am able to extend these blessings to people who have already passed on. I don't want to get to Heaven and have there be a long line of people without the work done for them, and I realize that it is my fault.

I am thankful for my husband. (duh!) He is absolutely amazing. He tries SO hard to have the spirit in our home at all times. He has a crazy sense of humor. The majority of our days we do not even speak in our normal voices. We act like the are crazy people most of the time and I love him for that. I love that he looks past my faults, and praises my little accomplishments. He is such a hard worker and so determined to support of family.

Ok I could go on forever but those will have to wait for another day!

A while ago I asked for advice on cleaning products. I deleted my blog since then and can't remember who recommended the Magic Eraser, but thank you!! It worked wonders on

our kitchen this morning. I made pork in the crock pot yesterday and it ended up getting all over the side of the fridge, and this took it right off! I barely had to scrub.

I highly recommend this for anyone that has hard.. or easy.. to clean things!!

Anyways, the purpose of this post was to tell you about this work out dvd I got that a girl on RTC told me about. It's called Core Fusion- Body Sculpt. I won't put a picture of the DVD on here cause it shows a girl in booty shorts and that might be a little awkward. But I've lost a lot of weight lately from health issues, so I've been against going to the gym cause I dont want to loose anymore, so I am just trying to tone up. This DVD has 5 different workouts, and they are 10 minutes long. They are abs, glutes, thighs, upper body, and something else that I forgot. anyways. I reccomend it. Today my legs hurt sooo bad (which is a good thing) and I just did the AB workout and its gonna suck tomorrow! but I LOVE IT!!

Call me a bad American but the past few years I have been avoiding the news. I hate hearing about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. It would just make me mad. Well, the past few weeks I have been paying attention to it, but just brushing it of. Tonight was the night that hearing about the war in Afghanistan really made me SICK. It was the deadliest day in Afghanistan for American Soldiers in four years. 5 or so years ago I supported the war, but not anymore. More and more people are losing their lives and loved ones, and its for simple mistakes like helicopter crashes. It doesnt even seem like we are getting anything done over there. Goodness people.

Come on, BO. Get a grip.

Last week in Enrichment we made some halloween Crafts. The first was this mummy candy holder. Super easy. Take a planter and wrap white fabric around it, I forgot the type they used. Or you could use toilet paper. and hot clue it to stay and hot glue the eyes!!

We then made these pumpkins. Get a fat quarter from the craft store of a fabric. Then wrap it around a roll of toilet paper. Tuck it in the ends. Then stick cinnomon sticks in the top. wrap with anything, and cut out a leaf from green fabric. Super cheap and CUTE!

I got this next idea from a friend on Facebook. TaNelle and I got chipboard from Porters and used the DieCut machine to cut out the letters and the scrapbook paper. glue it together, added some cute embelleshments. (i have bats and witches on mine) and then hung it on my wall! super cheap as well!!!

This next stuff was from last year, and I just changed out my beads and candles for halloween. Loveeeeee it:)

Update!!

I havent updated in a while so I thought I would... After MANY of doctors appointments, praying, fasting, and nights up really sick, we have a verdict.

I am Lactose Intollerant, and I have severe IBS. (irritable bowel syndrome)
My IBS is stress and anxiety induced. If you guys know me well, I have TERRIBLE anxiety. I have been on anxiety meds since I was 14. Some of it is subconsciously, I don't realize I'm anxious or nervous for something. And, at this very stressfull, but FUN, time in our life, I have gotten terrible anxiety.

There are a few things I have been doing to make this IBS better... I am on medicine that regulates me. I have been working out a lot more. We are switching up my meds so hopefully that will help, and I have realized that I LOVE MY LIFE. I really do. I know I am a debbie downer a lot, and I am trying to change. I really do love where we are. I love the fact that jeff graduates in *NINE* months and then we are MOVING!!! I love my husband. I love waking up next to him every day. I love being outside and going on walks and hikes in the beautiful mountains. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I love that he has alreadyexperienced everything that I am going through. Anways. sorry for ranting. I still have days where I have terrible stomach aches, but for the most part it is gone. I can lead a normal life now!!! yippeee.

Thanks for the prayers, fasting, and so forth for me. I really appreciate it.

And on a happy note, Jeff has started applying for jobs once he graduates! yay! its only 9 months away and I have never been so excited!! It is coming so soon!!!

Our Weekend

This past weekend our friends went out of town so we got to watch their dog Samba. She is a boxer and soooo cute and fun.

Originally we made her a bed on the floor in our room. Then we realized that she snored really loud, so we made her a bed in the hall. She loved it. She even layed there all Saturday too. Here she is snuggled up.

She is pretty attached to Jeff. Jeff got in the shower and she sat outside whining the whole time!

and me... :)

And Monday was our 18 month anniversary of being married. and two years about of dating. Jeff came home with four roses. It was really sweet!! He said it was four for "fourever".... really it was just all we could afford..! He has never bought me flowers before so this was really sweet of him.

Saturday we also took a hike (more like a walk) up in Cress Creek. It was so beautiful! I love fall!

and is it bad that I'm already making Christmas decorations?!

Two years ago Jeff and I had our first date and went on a hike in Provo Canyon.

18 months ago Jeff and I were sealed in the St. Louis Temple.

Today I woke up early and cleaned the whole house for Jeff. I wanted to surprise him when he got home from work. Instead he surprised me with flowers. We can't afford much so he got me four roses. He said the four is for "fourever". haha.. What a goof.

We have been through many hard times in our marriage just like every other poor college student, but I would not trade a single day of it. I love our life together. I love being with my best friend every day. I look forward to growing our family, and having much more memories.

So as most of you know, I decided to go back to school in August. I am getting my Bachelors in Human Resource Management. Dont ask me why I chose that. Really, dont. Anways, I ended my first term two weeks ago, and got my grades yesterday!

I love this season. I love wearing sweaters and ugg boots. I love putting up fall colored leaves on top of my kitchen cabinets, and I love putting Halloween decorations up. I even put a scarecrow on my front door.
Tonight we are going to the haunted corn maze. I love this season!!

No, we go dog shopping every week but wont buy one till we are out of this apartment.

Yes we both went to byu Idaho for a few semesters together..

me, all the way. Jeff hasnt cried our whole marriage. I cried today when jeff yelled at me for laying on hit hat.

Uhm..... probably applebees cause its one of the only restaurants here.

Uh... California or Missouri? not sure which is farther.

Jeff for sure!!

That's a toss up. Probably me.

Jeff is by far. I have never been neat. but about once a month (you know when) I get in cleaning mode and clean everything!!

Jeff sleeps diagonal, so probably him. He likes to cuddle and I usually yell at him to go away (no A/C makes for a very grouchy wife)

Ever? I would say our wedding day but that was pretty stressfull so probably not that. Probably the first day on our honeymoon cause we had no cares in the world!

Okay so I absolutely LOVE Halloween... but one holiday that I love the most is Christmas!!! I usually make my christmas list in October, and It is something I look forward to FOREVER!
So I decided to include you all and share my christmas list!

I havent posted in a while so I figured I should. We dont really have anything exciting going on. We both just worked all week. Jeff is really enjoying his internship at the hospital. He gets free drinks and free lunch every day. If only it was paid...! He is looking for a part time job to waste some time because he gets really bored every day. If you know of anything in Rexburg, even just yard help or something that would be great! Temp. or Permanent- he is up for anything!

I'm really enjoying my job at the Daycare/Preschool. Attendance has picked up so I am now with 12-14 toddlers a day. It gets really stressfull and I hope they hire some more help soon. I am pulling in a lot of hours so that is good, but I have no time to see jeff. by the time I get home and eat dinner I am exhausted and ready for bed.

other than that we are just hangin in there. I hate everything being temporary. A temporary town, with a temporary apartment. I just want something we can call ours. I guess our Subaru is ours. haha. no but really. I am ready to get in a more permanent situation. Good thing less than a year we will be outa here... I feel like we say that every year though.

okay okay I am a HUGE big brother fan. My friend TaNelle and I would watch it every week and from the begining I have been rooting for Jordan. I did not think she was the best at physical or mental games or anything but I think she played the game really well. I am so glad Jordan won!!! I was so happy!

Now I am starting biggest loser! We got a Tivo so that makes TV watching much more convenient!

To the health center- you know those three viles of blood you took this morning? you better find something wrong with my stomach dam*it.

To the fertile mertiles in my ward- I'm sorry you had a honeymoon baby or an accident baby, but please dont complain about it in front of me. and please sprinkle some of you magic fertile dust my way.

To the lady teaching me CPR last night- I apologize for almost falling asleep but really, it was so boring.

To Jeff- I am no longer sleeping with the window open. It is officially winter in Rexburg and I woke up with my toes frozen together and cursing your name.

To my bank account- I'm actually starting to like looking at you now:)

okay okay enough enough. I've been up since 7! blah! so early. Went to the docs. they took my blood to do some tests. I am starting to despise that man that pricks me almost every week. I was at work yesterday for 12 hours. worked for 9 then three hour cpr training. man. and now its time to go back!

Jeff and I came across this amazing deal from a friend. (her mom is a travel agent)

5 days 4 nights in Costa Rica at an all-inclusive resort.

6 days 5 nights in the Mayan Riviera (45 min from cancun) all inclusive resort.

total of BOTH trips for TWO people total... $850 (flights not included. all meals/activities/etc are included) comes down to 38/day per person.

must use both of the trips by March 2011. and you must purchase both trips. its a bundle package. can't do one or the other.

This is an amazing deal. We just dont know whether to do it or not. we are trying for a baby, sort of, but I am scared ill get pregnant and not want to go.(but knowing my body, it could take years) We could buy it now and save up for all the flights and use it next summer. you can take the trips seperatly. but its a chance of a lifetime. we've never been anywhere cool, and its such a great deal. The actual retail value is like 3,000+. I need advice.
